He defends them by saying he’s not being serious, but we doubt that many of his listeners get the so-called ironic subtext of lyrics like ‘rape a pregnant bitch and tell my friends I had a threesome.” While Tyler’s homophobia is horrifying in itself, her piece most significantly calls out the music industry for turning a blind eye. (We never thought we’d see the NBA being more gay-friendly than the music world.)
